Thank you for your interest in the 63rd street mural project.

The mural at the North 63rd Street underpass at Aurora Avenue was pained over in 2012 by the City of Seattle due to excessive graffiti. A community group formed and secured a Small and Simple Grant from the City of Seattle to install a new mural. A call for artists has been released and, with the help of community volunteers, the new mural will be painted in July of 2014.

Volunteers and donors will make maintenance of the new mural possible for the next five years. The steering committee will lead maintenance efforts.

This effort is is co-sponsored by the Phinney Neighborhood Association.
